Antalya Book Fair: Akra Hotel
Akra Hotel is launching the first of its year-round culture, arts, and sports events with a Book Fair to be held at Akra Kemer between February 23 and March 1. During this seven-day special event, visitors will have the opportunity to attend talks and book-signing sessions with many distinguished guests.
1. OĞUZ BENLİOĞLU - 01.03.2026
Oğuz Benlioğlu, author of Micro Expressions – Facial Expressions Never Lie and The Lie Radar, will meet readers with his new book Mastering Your Emotions.
2. Serkan Karaismailoğlu - 01.03.2026
Neuroscientist Dr. Serkan Karaismailoğlu, author of best-selling books such as The Loneliest Brain in the World, Biomortem, and Brew Yourself Some Dopamine, will be among the event’s most prominent participants.
3. Hakan Günday - 28.02.2026
Having left a strong mark on the literary world in the early 2000s with Kinyas and Kayra, novelist, screenwriter, film and game writer Hakan Günday will also take part in the fair. One of Turkey’s leading figures in underground literature, Günday is known for his critical approach to social morality, marriage, and the institution of family.
4. Talat Parman - 28.02.2026
Renowned Turkish psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, and author Talat Parman has made significant contributions to the development of Freudian psychoanalysis and psychotherapeutic approaches in Turkey.
In works such as Adolescence, or Hello Melancholy, Psychoanalytic Essays, and The Passion of Adolescence, he explores themes of adolescence, family relationships, culture, and the individual from a psychoanalytic perspective.
5. Serhat Yabacı - 27.02.2026
Serhat Yabancı is a well-known educator and author in Turkey, recognized for his work as a family, relationship, and marriage counselor. He is the author of numerous books including To Forget or to Forgive, It’s Not What You Think, and Are You the Rescuer or the Victim?.
6. Yekta Kopan - 27.02.2026
Yekta Kopan is one of the first names that comes to mind when speaking of Akra Hotel events.
A writer, actor, voice-over artist, and radio host, Kopan is the recipient of the Yunus Nadi Short Story Award and the author of acclaimed works such as Staying Calm, Suddenly, You Were Gone, and The Birds Told Me.
With his emotionally rich yet simple style and strong connection with readers, he is regarded as one of Turkey’s most respected contemporary short-story writers.
